RT , 2015.

"The war in Syria forced millions of civilians to flee their homes. Many of them crossed the border into Lebanon. But even though they are out of the war zone, they have to fight for their lives more than ever. They often live in unsafe accommodations, they have limited access to medicine and their children have to be their families’ main breadwinners. Now all they dream of is returning to their homeland." (RT, 2015 ).

This documentary, shows children as young as eleven working long hours and living in harsh conditions to support their large families. They work twelve hours per day, six days per week just to buy bread to live. The children have high ambitions to be doctors or teachers. They know that without education they can not survive in this world. One mentions if he had a mobile he would not be able to read the messages. Another child working as a mechanic can not read the numbers on the tools he needs to hand to his boss.

Education at its most basic level is needed for this generation of Syrian refugee kids; their future depends on it before they are lost forever.

Mobile education vans springing up around the world would be a welcome asset to the street and working refugee children even if they just taught them the basics of literacy and mathematics to survive in the 21st Century.
